Six faculty from Northland recently completed the Quality Matters workshop “Addressing Accessibility”. This workshop provides faculty with information about the challenges students with physical disabilities face in a course that uses digital or online materials. The workshop provided many ideas and resources for what faculty can do to create materials that are accessible for all students. Faculty who completed the workshop included:
Aliza Olson’s HIST 1101: Western Civilization I recently went through a formal Quality Matters course review and received QM recognition. Northland now has 5 QM Certified courses.
If you were thinking of having one of your online or hybrid courses formally reviewed using the QM process, now is the time to get the course review application submitted. Applications are due by Feb. 15 for those interested in having a course reviewed yet this semester. Applications will be reviewed and prioritized by the QM Implementation Team following the Feburary 15 deadline.
