If you were thinking of having one of your online or hybrid courses formally reviewed using the QM process, now is the time to get the course review application submitted. Applications are due by Feb. 15 for those interested in having a course reviewed yet this semester. Applications will be reviewed and prioritized by the QM Implementation Team following the Feburary 15 deadline.
Northland currently has 3 courses that have been recognized through a formal Quality Matters course review. Choosing to have a course reviewed is completely voluntary. Certified courses are listed on the national QM database of certified courses and are given a “seal” or certificate to display in the course and on the course syllabus.
There is a budget for the coming academic year to have up to six more courses reviewed. Faculty interested in learning more about the review process can read about the Peer Course Review Process or contact me for more information. If you’re at all interested in having your course reviewed, please let me know before all of the spots are used up!
Applications for a formal QM course review are now being accepted for the FY13 academic year. Course Review Application – FY13
